I was planning to do this post for a while, but all of my favorite bloggers beat me to the punch! Ah well, guess I conformed again! T.T Anyhow, these are my top 5 favorite anime opening themes! These are mostly based of the beauty of the lyrics and tune of the song, but some are based on the animation used!
Song #5 – Serial Experiments Lain
This is the only anime opening theme I have ever enjoyed that was in english. I truly love this song and the style of the opening!
Song #4 – Nana
This song truly wowed me when I began the series Nana, it was the first thing that really caught my interest and I just love it to no end.
Song #3 – Saiunkoku Monogatari
I love the warm feeling this song has, along with the beautiful lyrics. It fit the anime perfectly and is truly beautiful.
Song #2 – Naruto Shippuden
I just love this song! I love the jazzyness in the background and the lyrics. I liked this song better than I liked anything about Naruto! (Except Gaara! ^.^)
Song #1 – Loveless
This song just owns, okay? It PWNS every other opening there ever was! I have it memorized completely and listen to it all the time. Gorgeous lyrics, great tune, good animation in the opening! All of the great factors required right here in one awesomely epic theme song!

Lol…I would have made a longer post, but I had to get off of the net for a while so it turned out to be short! I might do another post of openings in the future, you should look for it! I have a ton of openings that I just adore!

Man, I LOVE that Serial Experiments Lain opening. It’s such a rare anime too, I mean, not many people seem to know about it. Which is a shame since it’s so awesome!

@ani-meh – I agree! It is really good trippy anime! I own about half the series, still trying to get my hands on two dvd’s. But I loved it, it was so much easier to understand once you got really into it!
