Gigantanourmous Overly-Delayed Review Make Up Post – Part 1!

I’m so behind on my episode reviews! I have so much to catch up on that it’s kind of mind-boggling. I shouldn’t have let my hiatus get so out of hand! ^.^

But now it’s back to business! I’m going to do my best to get all caught up and stay caught up! This is just an overview on my thoughts, nothing to specific! (It would be a very long post if I typed up everything I was thinking! )

I’m going to begin with my current thoughts on Shugo Chara – Doki! (And yes Fuyu, I ganked your screencaps! ) XD I didn’t miss much while I was absent, I’m just relieved that Nadehiko is back and making the show more interesting. Other than a few Amuto moments here and there, I found nothing else interesting. (Apart from Utau, Eru, and Rima, of course)

I feel that I must begin by commenting on how much more gay Tadase seems to have gotten in Doki. Why I must begin this way, I don’t really know, it feels like obligation! XD But that level of gayness can not be ignored! He had gone from being the girly-prince type character to trying to seduce other men with bishie sparkles (As shown on left) and cross-dressing. (Multiple times! DX) I have been left with a few scars that I’m sure will never go away due to these scenes, and pure delight at humiliated Tadase was. Seriously, rolling around on the floor laughing at him doesn’t even begin to cover how funny it was to me. If nothing else, at least Doki is making me laugh, something I did not expect.

Nadehiko is back and our favorite pair of best friends is reunited again, well…almost. Amu doesn’t know that it is Nadeshiko, but I’ll take it what I can get. I’m just glad that they get to see eachother again. It’s been to long since we’ve seen Nadehiko. Kukai comes back regularly, so I was upset that it took so long for Nadehiko to return. I’m happy that he’s back, though. And now all we need is Kairi to visit and it would be a lovely reunion! Oh Kairi! How I miss you! T.T The reaction Amu had to seeing Nadehiko again was so sweet and slightly humorous. Especially when she popped up right as he was worrying about seeing her again! Nadehiko coming back is about the only thing this keeping my interest in the anime at this point, other than random peeks at Ikuto now and then.

It was super cute when Amu convinced Nadehiko to stay. Just look at all those sparkles! Up to this point I didn’t even realize she was capable of making sparkles at all. Apparently Satelight was trying to avoid making us all go blind because the brightness of it all impaired my vision. It was cute that Amu was so happy to see him again though! And Nadehiko may have been immune to Tadase’s bishie sparkles, but he couldn’t resist Amu’s glittery goodness! He caved and took the position of Jack’s Chair when she asked him too. It was super cute!

Rima meeting Nadehiko was so frickin’ hilarious. Not only was she overly suspicious, she uber-jealous of his relationship with Amu and that only seemed to up her cuteness level. I swear if Rima gets any cuter I may go into Kawaii-Overload, which is not a pleasent sight! XXD And I, like quite a few others am supporting the NadehikoXRima ship. They have good chemistry and a similar attitude, I think they could be very good together. It was super-funny when Rima started crying to Amu and Nadehiko saw right through her tears and told Amu they were fake. She got really mad and the uber-possesive of Amu, forbidding her to be friends with him! This entire episode made my day when I watched! (Minus the crappy fight scene and more Lulu screen time)

After the crappy fight scene where Nadehiko showed off his great skills of working under pressure, Rima approved of him for the jack’s chair but then demanded that he is not allowed to be friends with Amu! So cute! Rima’s love and loyalty to Amu is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. Their friendship has come quite far! XD

I just have to comment on this huge mahou-shojo transformation thing they’ve got going. It’s a weird frickin combo of everyone’s chara-nari’s and it is just utterly ridiculous! I don’t even understand why the all have to transform to fight one stupid riddle egg. Seriously, one of them could handle it, two tops. But all of the chara-nari? If this is supposed to be one of those things where we learn about the epicness of teamwork, (Which it seems to be) it isn’t working. It’s just annoying me. I liked there individual chara-nari’s better and am mad at Satelight for changing that! *Glowers in Satelights direction*

Jiii……..Tadase in a skirt….O.O *Twitches* I’M BLIND! Lol, this scene was funny and humiliating for Tadase. It was one of the few highlights amongst all the filler, but it made me quite curious as to why he looks better dressed like a girl than a boy. That’s just not normal!

Kya! This was great! I don’t care if it was anime-original, it made me squeal like the giddy fangirl that I am. It really made Amu think about the fact that she likes Ikuto as well. The entire scene was just adorable. Amu asking him to help her, him turning her down, her concern when she finds out about his missing violin! Just so cute and perfect! And then he goes and gets all close to her like that…KYA!

I was mainly focusing on highlighting parts I enjoyed while typing this. The filler plot has got me down, more purging of random riddle eggs, and that’s making it feel more like Sailor Moon than ever. I’m just glad that we’re slowly inching closer to the Ikuto arc, even through the filler plot. It makes me happy and excited and is really the only thing that’s keeping me watching at the moment. (That and random funny scenes…like when Ikuto go’s all “NYA!” in the episode with Utau’s live, to frickin’ cute.! And there’s been a lot of Eru around too!)

Now, to Hakushaku to Yousei!

I’m enjoying Hakushaku to Yousei more than almost any other anime I’ve been watching. I expected to like it, but I just love it now! It’s moving through the arcs a little quickly, but I’m ok with that. It’s full of bishies and blushing, which makes me a happy fangirl! The arc that the anime was summarized with is already over, ended at episode four. Edgar got his sword and became the official Earl. We got to hear some of Raven’s backstory, which made me happy. Not to mention the growing romance between Lydia and Edgar. It keeps getting more intense every episode. The fact that Edgar intends to marry her had me bouncing up and down in my seat. Too bad her stubbornness is preventing that at the moment. A new bishie was introduced, Kelpie, of the Unseele Court! He’s desperate to get Lydia to marry him and is providing sufficient competition for Edgar (Who’s winning!)

Lydia’s stubborn side gets on my nerves sometimes though, especially when Edgar’s being sincere and she assumes that he’s just full of himself and isn’t interested in her at all. It’s dampening the romance a bit, but she’ll get over it soon enough, and if she doesn’t I’ll be angry. I thought I might lose interest after the arc with the sword, but they managed to keep my attention. The story is just as good, if not better, than it was before. There aren’t really any filler episodes in the series, which makes me happy. I’m so sick of watching anime filler. I’ll be sad if this anime doesn’t get a second season, but content if the they end it well!
