Shugo Chara Doki – Ranting over episode 52&53

Bleh. Just bleh. I’m am seriously pissed off about this. Not only did they entirely change the plot of Shugo Chara, but the first two episodes of the second season weren’t even about that crappy plot, they were recaps! RECAPS I SAY!

If all Satelight had time to do for the second season premiere was recaps, they should have taken a break. Two weeks, a month even. Hell, they could have take six months and I’d still be happy as longs as they didn’t f*ck up the anime. But no, instead of taking a healthy break to prevent their employees from banging their heads on the walls, they decide to dive right into the second season. It didn’t even occur to them that while taking a break one of their employees could actually look up the word PLOT in a dictionary and explain it clearly to the person in charge. But apparently Satelight only uses dictionary’s to beat their employees over the head, killing the few remaining braincells they managed to spare while creating this ridiculous anime-original plot we are all going to be forced to endure. *Fumes*

There was only one reason to even watch these episodes. Or should I say episode? Episode 53 had a nice Amuto moment in it. That was it. That is all I wanted to see. After the nice Amuto moment, the dictator behind the Shugo Chara anime decided to move on completely and act as if that moment never happened! They just threw in some Amuto because they wanted to keep the viewers they knew they were going to lose after coming up with the crappy Sailor Moon knock off plot. (I love Sailor Moon, but I loved Shugo Chara because it wasn’t like Sailor Moon. It was a more original mahou shoujo than that.)

Anyhow…

AWWWWWWWW~! So cute. Ikuto is beautiful per usual, even if the animation dropped a few notches. But where the hell is Amu’s blushing?! WHERE?! GAH! Still managed to get a fangirly reaction from me though. XD

*Returns to being pissed at Satelight and silently fumes in corner*

And that is just about all I have to say on episode 52 and 53 of Shugo Chara Doki. Bleh.

Lucky Star! – I’ve been deprived!

I must be one of the last people on the planet to watch this anime. Everyone has been talking about it for ages and ages, but I just shrugged it off and delved further into harem and romance. I knew all of the characters by name even without watching it, due to people talking about it so much! Lucky Star is an amazing anime, I can’t believe I put off watching it for so long! *Head Desk* I had to search all over to find it too. XD It was worth it!

When I started the first episode, I thought it was decent enough, and then the long long long conversation about how too properly eat your food came up and I got confused. I was torn between whether the anime was going to be genius or idiotic. But I realized as these cute girls rambled on about strawberry cake, that though this was a long conversation, I wasn’t bored at all. I found it entertaining. I thought something was wrong with me! Who could be entertained by that?! But I was, and then I got hungry after all the good food mentioned.

I loved the style of animation used, it was simple, cute and classic. It wasn’t particularly well done like a lot of anime these days, but it really added to the feel of the show.

The opening song was another great thing that hooked me. It was so random. I love random things, I really really do. I suppose that’s good since the entire anime is pretty random.

Lucky Star touches base on all things that Otaku’s love to see, and it does it while being pure moe. ^.^

Out of all the characters, I’m pretty sure that I loved Konata best. She’s just too funny, and such an Otaku herself that it’s hard to find her annoying. She’s so cute too and she has a really great attitude. Like so many Otaku’s she spends a lot of time on the computer and playing games, which is just fun to see. She also has such a wild imagination. I just love her. *Huggles Konata*

Lucky Star has so many moe aspects to it that I didn’t know where to begin, it was just hard to take in. I love all things moe, even if I am a girl. Moe was created to tend to guy’s fantasies, but I still enjoy that aspect of anime as well. Kind of like how straight guys can enjoy a good Yaoi. (They’re rare, but they are definitely out there!)

I love Miyuki too! I think it would be hard to find a character in Lucky Star that I didn’t love. Miyuki is classic moe, with her megane. Megane plus shyness equals a lot of happy people. Quite, polite and sweet. A lot of people seem to want that in girls, and Miyuki has it all. I enjoyed how all of the other characters went to her with there questions because of her intelligence. She is definitely one cute anime girl. I want to take her home!

The first thing I noticed about Tsuakasa was that her name was the same as Domyouji’s off of Hana Yori Dango. I’ve never come across a girl with that name, only boys. I thought it was cute. I love her yellow ribbon, I don’t know why, I just do. It’s weird cause I really don’t care much for the color yellow, but it fits her and her personality. Tsukasa has similar sleeping habits to me, basically meaning, that I pass out and then sleep for about 12 hours and completely ignore these so-called alarm clocks that everyone has.

I love her klutziness and the fact that she is a total airhead. She’s tiny cute and has purple hair. I love purple hair almost as much as pink…almost.

Kagami is moe too! Goddamn it! Everything is so frickin’ moe! My head is spinning. She’s tsunedre moe, but like all tsunedre girls, it’s just an act and on the inside she’s cuter and sweet. She eats tons of sweets, and whatever she’s eating, I want. She was always making me crave stuff.

And she has piggy tails! PIGGY TAILS! I love my girls with pigtails! Pigtails are cute on almost every anime girl, and they’re definitely cute on Kagami. I love how Kagami is always bickering with Konata too. I wonder why she ever bothers? That a battle you’ve lost before you’ve started.

Wow, I really didn’t mean for this post to turn out this long, especially since almost everyone has already seen Lucky Star. I’m sure no wants to see yet another random blogger talk about. I just had a few things to say but it got longer and longer. T.T

Ah well, there is one character I haven’t done yet!

Akira! Kaha! After watching Lucky Star I finally understood why Akira gave such strange and two-sided reviews on “Anime’s Next Top Model“! This character is just fun! I love characters that have two sides to them, though I have no idea why. Akira is just too funny. When she’s cute, or when she’s violent and cynical, she’s just great and makes me laugh. She’s so tiny and has pink hair! I LOVE ANIME GIRLS WITH PINK HAIR! She’s so random and wild, it’s just frickin great! *Glomps Akira*

Ok, so I should probably wrap up this post, as it’s gotten wildly out of hand. I’ll post something with more substance to it next time…probably! XD
